ERIC KAPTEIN
I am a Video Editor and Producer with a passion for storytelling, content strategy, and creating high-performance videos that engage and grow audiences. Currently, I work with The Pickleball Clinic, where I’ve produced and edited over 150+ videos across YouTube and social platforms—helping the brand connect with a rapidly growing community of players and fans.
My background in filmmaking started in high school, sparked by a love for video games and storytelling. I began creating YouTube video-game short films (machinimas), growing a channel to over 32,000 subscribers and earning more than 13.5 million views. That early hands-on experience taught me how to build an audience, keep viewers engaged, and think creatively within digital platforms—skills I’ve carried throughout my career.
Previously, I spent 8 years as a Lead Creative YouTube Editor with the NFL, where I led the production of narrative-driven highlights, cinematic year-end recaps, and educational football content that reached tens of millions of viewers. My work helped grow the NFL’s YouTube presence by 45+ million video views and 55,000+ subscribers, and shaped the visual storytelling behind some of the league’s most memorable moments.
With a strong foundation in both long-form and short-form content, I’ve developed and pitched creative concepts tied to cultural trends, managed complex post-production workflows, and optimized videos through analytics, A/B testing, and platform insights. I’ve also worked with brands like Complex and the New York Giants, bringing fast-paced editing, media management, and a sharp eye for visuals to every project.
